9/7/06 Updated the events calendar include for September. A little late, admittedly. I'll try to get to it more quickly next month.

Rewrote the main headline & 1st paragraph on the Home page. Thought it needed a little freshening up.

8/4/06 Added an "E-Mail the Webmonkey" link to the Contact Us page. There's always been a link in the footer of every page but this is a little easier to find, if anyone cares.

8/1/06 Built a little calendar that highlights any days during the month that something's happening, and if you click a day it takes you to the page with more detail about the event. The effected pages are ones that use the generic include with the "New Pictures" section: Home, Mission Statement, Website Updates & Contact Us. The next step is to write a script that'll build them automatically, because now I'll have to update it monthly.

7/24/06 Took off the references to Trail Maintenance days scheduled for July on the Home, Events & Meetings, Current Projects & Trail Maintenance pages, since they've already happened.

6/16/06 Added this page. Admittedly, it's more for me than anyone else, but I just wanted some way to keep track of everything I've been doing on the site lately. The link is in the main menu and appears when you mouseover "Home Page."

Separated the Minutes / Recaps of previous meetings from the main Events & Meetings page and gave it a link off the main menu under "Events & Meetings." It just seemed to make sense. I also added the Trail Maintenance info because I thought those days qualified as events. Eventually I'd like to build a calendar-like page for upcoming stuff, but if I put something like that up now I think it would look a little sparse.

Added a PHP script to load a different image into the header on each page refresh. The code was written by Dan Benjamin, and posted on one of my favorite sites, A List Apart. I've only got a handful of images in rotation at the moment, but plan on putting in more.

Added link to Google Maps & Mapquest (map view, not just driving directions) to the Maps & Directions page. They're preloaded with The John Hitchcock Visitor's Center (approximate) address and pop open in a new window. The Google Maps' satellite view of the mountain is especially cool.

I realized that if you've got a monitor that's set to a higher resolution than 1024 x 768, the background image won't fill the space, so I tiled it. Not a perfect solution because you can see the vertical edges between images, but it'll do for now. I'm probably the only one who noticed and/or cared.

6/6/06 Built a new gallery to showcase photos by Ginny Metevia. I'm hoping she'll send more -- she's very good. Her photos are also featured in the "New Photos" section in the right-hand column on most pages. Linked off the main menu under "Photo Gallery" and from the gallery itself.

6/5/06 Updated the Home Page with the info on upcoming trail maintenance days, as well as the corresponding sections on the Trail Maintenance page.
